Mariel Rodriguez on Zanjoe Marudo: Speak up

MARIEL Rodriguez is no longer as evasive as before when asked about her rumored beau, Zanjoe Marudo. After all, while inside Kuya’s house during the PBB Celebrity Edition, it became very obvious that Zanjoe was the guy she referred to as her special friend. At the presscon for Cinema One’s “Celebrity Central Block,” she admitted their relationship has gone up to a higher level.

“Kung noon, we were just friends, we have since moved a little bit above the friendship line,” she says. “He gave me flowers and cake on Valentine’s Day. Pero ayoko naman sabihing yes, on na kami, kasi ako ang girl at ang pangit naman kung girl pa ang magsasabi niyan. Dapat, doon manggaling sa lalaki, so you ask him kung ano talaga ba kami ngayon.”

Is this the reason why Jon Avila is said to be sulking? “I don’t think so. We’re still good friends naman. We just appeared in an episode of ‘Love Spell’ recently.”

Aside from “Wowowee” and “Entertainment Live”, Mariel is now also hosting “Celebrity Hit List” on Cinema One.
