Snubbing incident puzzles Ruffa Gutierrez

IT started as a blind item. The actress wife of an actor-politician reportedly snubbed an actress-beauty queen at the party of a top TV exec and at the wake of the mother of a top movie writer.

Ruffa Gutierrez later admitted she was the one referred to and the one who snubbed at the party of GMA-7’s Wilma Galvante and the wake of Ethel Ramos’ mom was Lani Mercado, wife of Sen. Bong Revilla.

Ruffa said Lani first snubbed her at the party of Wilma. Lani and Bong were leaving then and Ruffa just arrived with Donita Rose. “Being the Miss PR that I am, lahat binabati ko.

I said ‘Hi, Senator. Hi, Lani,” she says. “Nagbeso ako kay Bong but when I turned to Lani, she turned around and just left my perfect pouting lips in mid-air. I really can’t understand why she did that dahil wala akong maalalang ginawa akong bad to her. Alangan namang hindi niya ako napansin, eh super damulag ang laki ko.

That’s why when I saw her again sa lamay, I was scared na baka i-ignore niya lang uli ako at magmukhang tanga na naman ako. Kung ang dahilan, ‘yung mga tsismis sa’min ni Bong nun, my God, panahon pa ni Mahoma ‘yun, may mga anak na ako, ano ba naman? At saka, nagbati na kami noon sa prayer ng Oasis of Love sa Camp Crame, e.”

And it’s true that when it comes to having good PR, Ruffa (and her brother Richard), are on the top of our list. They’re among our most approachable and solicitous celebs. Wonder what Lani has to say about this.
