Patrick Garcia wants to woo Jennylyn Mercado again

March 14, 2008

PATRICK Garcia is humming a different tune now. If at first he cast a shadow of doubt about his being the father of Jennylyn Mercado’s child, during the presscon for the new GMA7 highly-ambitious drama, “Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita,” the young actor and soon-to-be dad acknowledged Jen’s baby as his.

He said his decision not to pursue his plan to go to the US to study had something to do with his fatherhood, especially now that he is doing a new primetime soap.

There was a hint that Patrick might woo Jennylyn again, not only for their child, but because he truly loves her. We just hope it’s not for his career’s sake.

Meanwhile, Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita, originally created by novelist Gilda Olvidado-Marcelino, was one of the masterpieces of the highly-acclaimed late director Lino Brocka, giving a FAMAS best actress nomination for Sharon Cuneta in 1989. It is now director Joel Lama-ngan’s turn to make it a new masterpiece.

JENNYLYN ON THE HOT SEAT

AND what do you know? Jennylyn Mercado sits as special guest in “Balakubak” on Nuts Entertainment tonight.

Will she allow her “interrogators”to touch the subject of her pregnancy and comment about the father of the child she’s carrying? The young mother-to-be was said to have ceased from talking about the subject, but, who can stop the nutty trio, Joey de Leon, Janno Goibbs and Anjo Yllana from asking?

Meanwhile, find out and see what’s in the games Alfred Vargas, John Feir, Mike “Pekto” Nacua, Ehra Madrigal, Hazel Ann Mendoza and Gail Nicolas. Location is Mt. Samat and Montemar Beach Resort in Bataan with hosts, Arnell Ignacio, Rufa Mi and Iwa Moto.
