“fish n’ chips” a very promising band

fish n chips band “fish n’ chips” is a very promising band that will soon make scene in the music/recording industry.

Comprised of four young and very talented members, it is almost impossible to define the boundaries of their collective potentials. With the considerable experiences of each member in their respective fields, it is very likely for this group to create a desirable music of their own.

In addition to creativity, the perfect chemistry of these four fellows helps them formulate good quality music with consistency.

Another advantage for them is they used to be in the same band before, and since then they have been friends. This explains why the members were already familiar to each other in terms of music and attitude when this new band was formed.

Supported and financed by a very reputed manager/producer and a talented composer/lyricist as well, Madam Violeta O. Frankland (this would explain the band name), the band’s debut album will soon to be released. So, don’t be surprised when its carrier single will be airing on prominent fm radio stations and hitting charts one of these days.

THE MEMBERS

Raymond Ramos (vocalist/song writer)

He started his career in music as vocalist of numerous party bands in 2001. Since then, he got used to different styles of singing. His repertoire included Soul, Retro, R&B, etc. When he recently shifted to acoustic group, he experimented with his singing style in this genre. But he didn’t spend too much time on it. Instead, he decided to concentrate on songwriting. And it turned out well. Most if not all of the original songs of this 27-year-old composer are mainly of various local as well as foreign alternative band influences.

Neil Gamao (lead guitarist)

At only 27, this axe-man of the group is not far from being a guitar virtuoso. Be it latin, jazz, blues, rock… name it and he will gladly sweep it out for you. He has been filling up guitar lines for different group since his high school days. And his fourteen years of experience is quite evident in the sound his fingers execute. In case you are interested in his philosophy… “Starting at an early age really gets you somewhere.”

Paul Sison (bassist)

You may find his bass lines serious, but believe it or not, this fellow is a joker. This 33-year-old bassist is the youngest at heart. A figure of oxymoron is well illustrated by his personality in contrast to his musicality. The way he cracks jokes, one would find it hard to believe that he can perform with the band seriously.

Fred Bello (drummer/percussionist)

This 29-year-old Latin-looking guy is a U.P. Conservatory of Music alumnus. He has been banging for more than a decade. Before he decided to do recording, he used to teach drum lessons at daytime and perform with the band at night. How seldom we hear of the phrase “hard-working musician”? Ask him how does he manage, you will get a “mysterious smile of Mona Lisa” for an answer. By the way, it was just the night gigs that he gave up for recording contract…he still offers drum lessons to interested students.

“FISH N’ CHIPS” ALBUM FIRST KNOWN AS “THE FRANKLAND BAND” IN BORACAY, CATICLAN IS NOW ENJOYING A MASSIVE AIRPLAYS IN YES FM 91.1 BORACAY AND NOW A MOST REQUESTED SONGS OVER THE RADIO HITTING NO. 1 ON ITS TOP LIST FROM THE MIDST OF JANUARY TILL NOW.

ACCORDING TO ITS DJ, IT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN THAT RADIO STATION (YES FM 91.1 BORACAY) TO EXPERIENCE A LOT OF REQUEST NOT ONLY FROM A LOCAL PEOPLE (ALSO CALLED C, D & E) BUT FROM THE FOREIGN PEOPLE OUT THERE (TOURISTS IN PARTICULAR) WHO HAS HEARED OVER THAT RADIO STATION PLAYING IN A MAJOR STABLISHMENT ALONG BORACAY BEACH AND OTHER AREA.

“I AM SO FLATTERED ONE DAY IM WALKING ALONG THE BEACH WHEN I HEARED THE SONG OF “FRANKLAND” AS FIRST KNOWN, NOW “FISH N’ CHIPS” AND “NIGHT SHIFT” PLAYING OVER OUR RADIO STATION NOT EVEN IN MY PROGRAM, AND THOSE MAJOR STABLISHMENTS ALONG THE BEACH THAT USED TO TUNE-IN TO FOREIGN STATIONS ARE NOW TUNING ON OUR STATION” DJ SAID.

“WE ONLY EXPECT REQUEST THRU TXT MSGS. AND OVER THE PHONE CALL FROM LOCAL PEOPLE BUT I WAS SHOCK WHEN I STARTED RECEIVING REQUEST FROM FOREIGN PEOPLE REQUESTING THE SONGS OF THE SAID BANDS SPECIALY “FISH N’ CHIPS” WHO WAS FIRST IMPRESSED AS A FOREIGN BAND BECAUSE OF ITS BEAUTIFUL, SOULFUL AND DIFFERENT GENRE OF SONGS, WELL MAYBE BECAUSE THE ALBUM IS CONSIST OF 12 DIFFERENT TRACKS, TAGALOG AND ENGLISH SONGS ESPECIALY THE SONG “I NEED TO CHANGE” THAT TOUCH THE HEART OF LISTENERS EVEN FOREIGN PEOPLE. NO WONDER WHY THEY HIT THE TOP LIST AND NOW A MOST REQUESTED SONGS OVER THE RADIO. PEOPLE ARE EXCITED TO SEE THEM IN PERSON PERFORMING LIVE ON STAGE”. HE ADDED.

“FISH N’ CHIPS” BAND WILL BE HAVING A FOUR DAYS TOUR TOGETHER WITH THE BAND “NIGHT SHIFT” IN CATICLAN AND BORACAY ISLAND ON APRIL 18 TO 21, THIS WILL BE THEIR FIRST MAJOR TOUR WITH “NIGHT SHIFT” ON THEIR ALBUM TOUR.

THERE WILL BE A MOTORCADE IN CATICLAN WITH THE HELP OF THE CAR IN “RIDERS ASSOCIATION”.

THIS EVENT IS ORGANIZED IN COOPERATION WITH YES FM 911 BORACAY, I.R.A. AND WILL BE SPONSORED BY “PLACENTA” AS MAJOR SPONSOR, “MCDONALD”, “TRESH HOLD FOODYARD INN”, RED COCONUT HOTEL AND RESORT BORACAY FOR ACCOMODATIONS, AND HOPEFULLY “SEAIR PHILIPPINES” FOR THE PLANE THAT STILL WAITING FOR APPROVAL FROM MANILA.
