What Makes Pinoy Big Brother Plus exciting

PBB TEENS PLUS is now the highest rating show on ABS-CBN and it’s because majority of the teen housemates are very attractive and interesting. Alex from Italy is the talk of the town after he confessed he has yet to be circumcised at 18. The doctor that Kuya sent to talk to Alex said it could be just peer pressure that makes him want to be circumcised, but he says he wants to be cut now as he wants to be a real Pinoy.

Two of his brothers are with him here in Manila, also in their teens, and they have already got themselves cut. He’s now envious of them because in Italy, circumcision is not that much of a requirement as part of growing up.

But it might not be a wise idea for Alex to undergo this kind of surgery while inside Kuya’s house as there are many girls around him who might be curious or make fun of him. We’re sure he won’t be comfortable at all. He claims he won’t be embarrassed even if there are girl housemates around. A reader writes us to say this angle might just be scripted as this “pagpapatuli” thing definitely made the show more intriguing and seeing Alex being cut during the show will definitely help up the ratings all the more. Well, we don’t know…

Another Eurasian who has made his mark is the very talkative Kevin from Madrid. This Spanish guy is really super kulit. The Atenean, Robi, and the La Sallite, Josef, now also have their own set of fans. Among the girls, the ones who quickly gained followers are the half German Valerie who’s fond of singing Tagalog songs, the livewire that is Jierel, the kikay Beauty who screams a lot, and the hearing impaired Priscilla. E-jay is one of the best looking among the guys but he’s very quiet and has yet to make his presence felt. The supposed comedian in the group, Nan, has yet to make anyone laugh, unlike Ruben in PBB Season 2 who quickly showed his good sense of humor that eventually made him the Big Winner.
