Clamor for KC Concepcion - Richard Gutierrez hopeless?

CLAMOR FOR KC-RICHARD MOVIE HOPELESS?

AT the press conference for “I Am KC,” some of the words used to describe or introduce her were “showbiz royalty” and “princess.” The press in attendance agreed that these were the apt words to describe KC, being the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and erstwhile matinee idol Gabby Concepcion.

Being tagged as a princess and showbiz royalty somehow makes her uncomfortable. She respects other young actresses who came before her and KC doesn’t even want to think that she has special privilege that’s why she’s called princess. She watches the shows of other young actresses like Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, and Judy Ann Santos.

She wouldn’t want to think of the “princess” tag. “I just want to do my job well. I want to do my best para naman po hindi ako mapahiya sa mga nakakatrabaho ko na matagal na sa industriyang ito,” says KC.

She doesn’t put into her head that she’s a showbiz royalty and that she deserves special treatment for such stature. She was not brought up that way. “”Naiilang po ako pag sinasabing prinsesa ako. Besides, there are other showbiz sons and daughters who are also active in showbiz,” she added.

While there is a clamor for KC to do a project with Richard Gutierrez, this seems far fetched since Richard belongs to the Kapuso network while KC is certified Kapamilya. But if only ABS-CBN and GMA would forget the network war, a movie featuring KC and Richard would surely be a blockbuster.
