Bagong half-sister, nakita na ni KC Concepcion

SHIRLEY Kuan and Dolor Guevarra, both fellow PAMI (Professional Artists Managers, Inc.) members, and we were having dinner sa Cibo Restaurant sa The Loop ABS-CBN, when we were attracted by a couple na pumapasok na sweet na sweet sa isa’t isa.

It was Gabby Concepcion and beautiful daughter (by actress Sharon Cuneta) KC Concepcion.

As we all know, KC is now being managed by SK (short for Shirley Kuan).

KC, she told us, was at ABS-CBN with a friend to visit her mega mom (si Sharon nga), who was taping for her show, Sharon.

Guest ni Sharon sa nabanggit na taping si Lea Salonga. Sharon knows her daughter idolizes Lea.

So, she wanted KC to meet Lea. Nagkasama sina Lea at KC sa Repertory Philippines.

Ayon nga kay GR (for Girlie Rodis, also a PAMI officer), at one time ay naging mentor pa ni KC si Lea in one of the plays she did.

Kaya raw, ang tawag ni KC kay Lea ay “Ma’am Lea.”

GR is head of the marketing arm of Lea’s concert, Lea Salonga… My Life Onstage, sa PICC on May 23 and 24.

Lea will have as special guest no less than Aga Muhlach, who will do a duet with her.

Gabby, meanwhile, had just finished a workshop with Laurice Guillen for his first teleserye for ABS-CBN, Iisa Pa Lamang.

Laurice will play Gabby’s mom in the series, which also stars Susan Roces, Claudine Barretto and Diether Ocampo, among others.

Mapi-feel mo ang closeness between Gabby and KC as they continued to chat and make lambing to each other.

Gabby waited for Lea to arrive before he bade everybody goodbye.

We learned from Gabby na naririto na rin ang kanyang mag-ina. They are staying with his parents at their ancestral home in San Juan.

Wala pa raw silang makitang malilipatang bahay, ayon kay Gabby.

Has KC seen her little sister (by stepmom, Ginbee Gonzales). “Opo naman,” sagot ng dalaga.

May 20 na pala magsisimulang mag-shooting si KC for her first movie with Richard Gutierrez.

Tanong nga niya kay Gabby: “Pa (yes, she calls Gabby ‘Papa.’ Senator Kiko Pangilinan, her stepdad, is ‘Daddy’), how do you make a movie?

Gabby’s casual answer: “Just how you do TV.”

Say ni SK, KC is unbelievably excited about doing a film, especially because she will have Richard nga for a leading man.

Tanong namin kay Gabby: What can he say about Richard?

“Well, sabi ko nga kay KC, I’ve known him since he was small. At alam kong mabait na bata si Richard,” tugon nito.

Although Richard, together with twin brother, Raymond (Gutierrez, who hosts Showbiz Central and Pinoy Idol on GMA-7), has had the chance to do movies with Regal Films, where Gabby used to be under contract to, the two never had the chance na magkatrabaho.

Ang naging leading lady ni Gabby sa ilang Regal movies was Richard and Raymond’s elder sister, Ruffa.
