Angeli Pangilinan defends Jericho Rosales

ANGELI Pangilinan clarify some things about Heart Evangelista’s statement against Jericho Rosales. “I really feel sad about the whole thing because I consider Heart as family, but I don’t really know now where she’s coming from,” she says. “When she returned from the U.S. up to the time Echo left for Malaysia, okay na okay sila and were even inseparable, so he had no inkling something like this would happen. But on the day he left, that’s when Heart called me to tell me she’s already leaving Genesis as she’s going back to her parents.

It happened too fast, but we respected her decision and we had a proper turnover, even with my staff. When Echo called me later and said we take good care of her, I told him Heart has already left Genesis and he was surprised. She says she felt jealous when she saw Echo hugging his leading lady in ‘I Love You Virus’, Brianna Evigan.

That happened on the last day of the shoot and it was a wrap up party where everybody’s hugging everybody. I was there and even the producer hugged me because he was also very pleased with Gary’s (Valenciano) performance in the movie. Echo hugged Brianna to say goodbye as he knows they won’t see each other again.

And why would she feel jealous when Brianna’s boyfriend was there? Nakakahiya nga kina Brianna and doon sa boyfriend if ever they found out about this. Yes, Echo also had a kissing scene with Brianna in the movie but he agonized about that and talked about it with his Pastor for two hours because he and Heart made a previous decision that they wouldn’t do kissing scenes anymore.

The last time he kissed someone was Heart and that was in ‘Ang Panday’. Charo Santos even talked to Heart and told her that one reason they can’t assign her more roles is because of her limitations. I don’t want to talk about it sana pero para namang ang sama-sama lumabas ni Echo when he’s a changed man ever since he became spiritual. Ayaw na nga niya magsalita uli. I hope one day he and Heart can still be friends.”
