John Estrada can’t follow Priscilla to Brazil

SHARON Cuneta and John Estrada were seated beside each other at the presscon of “Caregiver” where they play wife and husband. John revealed that he first met Sharon when she was still going steady with his friend, Richard Gomez, with whom he’s doing “Palibhasa Lalake” then. Sharon, in turn, revealed that John was head-over-heels in love with Janice de Belen then. “Patay na patay siya,” Sharon says. “So I warned him na huwag lokohin si Janice as she’s my friend.”

So much water has passed under the bridge since then. Sharon has married Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and they have two lovely daughters while Richard married Lucy Torres and they have Juliana. John married Janice and they had four kids, two of whom are now teenagers, and he got romantically involved with Vanessa del Bianco and now, with former Ms. Earth Priscilla Mereilles. How is the relationship of his kids with Priscilla?

“They’re okay,” says John. “I took Priscilla with me when I attended the graduation of our eldest daughter so magkakilala sila.”

Did he formally introduce her to Janice? “No, kasi we were seated far from her. We’re not avoiding each other. Matagal na rin kaming hiwalay at may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay.”

Has he met Janice’s new lawyer boyfriend who’s a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo? “No, not yet.”

Priscilla is currently in her native Brazil and wants John to follow her. “Pero busy ako with the promo of ‘Caregiver’ that is opening on May 28, so hindi pa ako makakasunod sa kanya. I’m very thankful to Star Cinema for giving me the chance to work with the Megastar. After working with her, I realized she reached her stature in the business because she has remained humble and simple.”
