Sunshine Cruz files libel against Cesar Montano’s elder sister

After breaking her silence about Ched Manhilot Cantu’s long-standing hatred for her, Sunshine Cruz has filed a libel case against her husband Cesar’s older sister. Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan accompanied Sunshine last June 10 to the San Juan Prosecutor’s Office to officially give her statement on Maria Mercedez “Ched” Manhilot Cantu’s defamatory e-mails circulating the net, including the offensive remarks about her on Ched’s Friendster account.

According to Sunshine, the hate e-mails did not only insult her character as a person but even her physical features as well. Some of the upsetting comments that Ched hurled at her were “disturbed porn starlet,” “evil terrorizing people,” “cheap actress,” and “unfit mother” among others.

“I believe she needs psychiatric help,” said Sunshine who revealed that Ched never approved even before she married Cesar Montano. “I think she thinks that I don’t deserve Cesar as a husband.” And after nine years of keeping mum about their ongoing conflict, Sunshine felt that it was time to shed light on the matter.

Though she clarified that this is a fight against Ched and not Cesar, Sunshine still expressed her disappointment in her husband. “Alam mo dapat ang tungkulin mo bilang asawa ko at bilang tatay ng mga anak ko na nasasaaktan sa panahon na ito.” Nevertheless, she denied the rumors saying that she also intends to file an annulment case against Cesar.
