PBB Big Winner Ejay Falcon’s secrets revealed

PINOY Big Brother Teen Edition Plus Big Winner Ejay Falcon is overwhelmed when he met the press at the 14th floor of ELJ Building in the ABS-CBN compound. He says he had asked his stepfather Daddy Erning to take care of his cash prize money of P1-M.

The 18-year-old young man from Mindoro has no plans of looking for his biological father who is reportedly now residing in France. He’s not aware where his real dad really is.

When his mother left home, it was Ka Erning who took care of him. He also uses Ka Erning’s surname Falcon.

He always has had a good relationship with his stepdad even when he was still young. He has a family where love abounds. But when his mother left home, they became a broken family. He was 15 when Ejay learned that Ka Erning is not his real father. It was his mother and her sisters who told him about the truth.

Some people are questioning the veracity of him being a probinsiyano. They say Ejay is not really probinsiyano because he has been in Manila for many years now.

“Three years po ako sa Manila,” he reveals “Pero every three months, umuuwi po ako sa amin (sa Mindoro). Nagtatagal po ako sa province. ‘Tapos ‘pag nandito sa Manila, hindi ako lumalabas ng bahay. Lumalabas, pero paminsan-minsan lang po. Kasi isa na po roon ay dahil wala akong pera. Para sa akin po, promdi pa rin ako. Yun nga po, nandito ako sa Manila. Pero pabalik-balik ako sa province.”

Would he rather be known as promdi or Manileño? “Kung saan po ‘yung totoo kasi promdi naman po ako talaga. Proud naman po ako na promdi ako pero gusto ko ring maging Manileño,” he said.

It was his mother who brought him to Manila when he was 15. He was in fourth year high school then. He learned that his mother has a new family with a new sibling in Manila. “Dito ako nagtapos ng high school sa Carlos P. Garcia (High School) po sa Pandacan. ‘Tapos umuwi uli ako sa province, one year ako roon. Then, bumalik ako ulit dito,” related Ejay.

He would have wanted to take up a Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Manila. But when his mom lost his job, Ejay went back to Mindoro. He stayed there for one year because he couldn’t enroll in his school. But he went back to Manila because he wanted to study and help his father. He had dreams to fulfill and one of them was to become a star.

He came back to Manila last year where he got the chance to meet showbiz hairstylist Benjie Alipio. He then joined the talent search Circle of 10, which produced the likes of Rainier Castillo and Dion Ignacio. He didn’t get lucky in the said talent search but Benjie was able to help him get guest stints in several GMA 7 shows.

“Sa ngayon po, hindi ko alam kung ano ang plano ng ABS-CBN sa akin. Wala pa po silang sinasabi. Pero gusto ko po sana kung mabibigyan ng chance na mapasama sa teleserye. Siyempre po, gusto ko sa mga action.”

Has he had the chance to talk to Benjie after he was named Big Winner of PBB Teen Edition Plus?

“Nakausap ko na po siya kanina and siyempre, sobrang….medyo ano po, sobrang masaya pero naiiyak. Ganun po.”

What can he say about the rumors that he was a former call boy?

“Hindi po ako ganun. Diyos na ang bahala sa kanila. Basta alam ko sa sarili ko hindi ako yun,” said Ejay.

Is he ready to face intrigues?

“Ako, parang naipakita ko na ‘yung lahat sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. Kung hindi siya totoo, yung mga naglalabasang intriga, hindi ko papansinin. Kasi yun nga, nandun na hindi totoo. Wala na po sa akin ‘yun. Kung totoo naman, so totoo, okey lang po. Tanggap ng tanggap. Alam ko na po ‘yun,” says the PBB Big Winner.
