Richard Gutierrez souvenir for Heart Evangelista

RAYMOND Gutierrez interviewed his twin brod Richard in “Showbiz Central” on the set of “Codename: Asero.” The new show is quite impressive and they’re taping a scene where a doctor, Ehra Madrigal, does underwater surgery on an injured Richard, who becomes a cyborg or man-robot. According to “Asero” director Mark Reyes, this is his most difficult assignment so far as it’s so hot in Dubai, 40 to 50 degrees, when they shot the opening scenes there. “Asero” is a science-fiction adventure show with plenty of CGI effects.

“It was there that I did my most difficult stunt so far,” says Richard. “It’s a chase scene in the desert with me driving a safari. You’d think it’s easy pero bumabaon talaga sa sand ang sasakyan and we got stalled several times.”

Raymond asks his brother if he really gave leading lady Heart Evangelista special treatment when he was nearly left behind by their return flight to Manila because he still bought something for Heart. “It’s my first time to work with her and I can’t complain as she’s so cooperative, lalo na sa belly dancing scene niya. Doon lang siya mismo sa set tinuruan and she learned it instantly. When she started to dance, lahat kami sa set, napanganga. As we were leaving, I wanted to give her something na magiging souvenir ng pagtatrabaho namin together in Dubai so I got a stuffed camel sa isang store sa airport, without knowing na paalis na pala kami so I was the last one who boarded our plane.”
