Gretchen Barretto reacted on Claudine Barretto and Angel Locsin’s rift

WE’RE sure ABS-CBN management will soon step into the picture to patch things up between their two resident actresses, Claudine Barretto and Angel Locsin, whose rift seems to be getting worse and that’s not good for the Kapamilya network.

Some people reacted to the emails defending Angel that we printed here a few days ago. They asked how come there are no letters defending Claudine. The answer is: simply because we didn’t receive any. It seems the fans of Angel are more aggressive in defending her.

But one Claudine defender who refuses to be named told us in private that when they saw each other in a beauty parlor, Claudine was so humble, patient and polite while talking to Angel. “For a while, she just allowed Angel to do all the talking,” says our source.

“Nagagalit si Angel kasi she heard daw that ABS stars like Claudine, Bea Alonzo, Kristine Hermosa, Anne Curtis and Roxanne Guinoo don’t like her. She asked Claudine kung sino ang nagkakalat ng stories against her. Claudine told her it’s not true that they’re mad at her. She even reminded Angel that when they first met at ABS, she even welcomed her sincerely. But Angel felt there’s a conspiracy against her at pinagkakaisahan siya. She’s just working naman daw and they should not be insecure sa kanya.

Claudine told her na siya, si Angel, ang bagong dumating sa ABS, kaya siya ang dapat matutong mag-adjust at makisama sa mga dinatnan na niya roon. May problema rin daw si Angel sa manager niya and Claudine told her na kung may problem siya with her manager, huwag nang idamay ang iba pang stars ng ABS like her. Ang nakakatawa, nang mag-leak out na ang nangyari sa kanila, si Claudine ang lumabas na nagtaray ng walang dahilan kaya napaiyak na lang daw si Angel kasi inapi-api siya.”

Even Gretchen Barretto reacted to the stories against Claudine. When asked about it at the “Maalaala Mo Kaya” presscon, she said: “Masipag, focused sa trabaho at magaling ang kapatid ko. She has won many best actress awards. Narating niya ang kinalalagyan niya ngayon as she worked hard for it. Kaya ‘wag siya basta husgahan at sabihing nagmamalaki siya. Naaawa nga ako sa sister ko as she’s being accused of something bad. Kung nabibigyan man siya ng special treatment, it’s because matagal na siya rito sa ABS. She’s the reigning Teleserye Queen at nagre-rate lahat ng shows niya kaya I don’t believe na mai-insecure siya kay Angel or anyone.”

What will she do if she’d meet Angel by chance at ABS? “I don’t know. Hindi ko iniisip. Pero takot ako, baka kasi awayin din niya ako at sigaw-sigawan.”

What if ABS would assign her to do a project with Angel? “Only with Claudine, yes.”

    what good words do we expect from GRETCHEN? she needs publicity so she does the same thing that her sister had done.. who’s the sot and drug addict between the 3? who’s the slut? and who’s the angel?

    you know who they are, categorize them…

    go ANGEL nobody could hinder you from soaring high! we’re always here, and in times that you’re down, you’ll see the strength of the foundation that you’ve built, nothing can break that… you’re our only one..
