Iwa Moto visit her ailing father at jail

IWA Moto was able to go to Japan to visit her Japanese dad, who’s in Gifu Prison (near Nagoya) and also afflicted with liver cancer, now that her taping for “Magdusa Ka” has ended. Iwa (whose real name is Aileen Iwamoto) traveled with her Pinay mom (Precy), her sister (Miki), and a crew of “Startalk” who covered the affair. They just took the public transport (train and cab) from Nagoya and their trip was aired on the show last Saturday.

It was a tearful meeting for the whole family but due to security reasons, the actual meeting of Iwa with her dad on a wheelchair and in pain was not allowed to be taped on cam. Instead, what they showed were just sketches of the reunion. Iwa tried to convince the prison authorities to let her dad go out and see a doctor but the permission was not given. Looks like it’d be Iwa’s last meeting with her dad as he seems to just be waiting for the big C to finally claim his life.

What makes Iwa and her sister happy now is that their dad, who’s imprisoned due to drug related charges, have signed up their papers to be his legitimate children and they can now file for dual citizenship in the Philippines and in Japan.
