Sarah Geronimo returns to the Big Dome via ‘The Next One’

November 3, 2008

WE first saw Sarah Geronimo on the Araneta Coliseum stage as a performer out to prove herself in her maiden solo concert, The Other Side.

In 2007, she was back at the Big Dome in Sarah Geronimo in Motion, a show that highlighted her metamorphosis from a vibrant, multi-talented girl to a confident, classy woman.

In both concerts, Sarah played to thousands of wildly cheering fans that had the Araneta rocking.

On November 8, 8 p.m., Sarah returns to the Araneta for her third solo concert, The Next One, which has the makings of another smash hit.

Her movie, A Very Special Love, was a certified box-office winner, reportedly grossing P200 million.

Her television series, Bituing Walang Ningning, earned an Emmy nomination. Then there’s her inclusion in a survey about the Most Beautiful Women in the Internet and sexiest women in a men’s mag survey.

Sarah’s album, Just Me, which features a duet with Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys, proved that the pop princess can successfully collaborate with an international star.

Dorough says of Sarah, “When I was asked about doing a project with her four or five months ago by Christian de Walden, I was honored. I went online and realized that she’s a huge superstar here and around the world.”

The Next One producer, Viva Concerts and Events, is pulling all stops to guarantee that the show will be a sure-fire hit. Johnny Manahan directs with Louie Ocampo as musical director.

Adding spice will be the participation of some of Sarah’s friends, Billy Crawford, John Lloyd Cruz and WCOPA champion Jed Madela.

Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao and Rayver Cruz, meanwhile, team up for a production number while Dorough will have a video presentation.

The Next One is sponsored by Jollibee, Belo Essentials, Charmee, Bench, Cebuana Lhuillier, Skechers Time, Magnolia Fruit Drink and Health Tea, ABS-CBN, PCSO, AMA University, Hapee Toothpaste, Xtreme Magic Sing, Smart Buddy, MYX, Philippine Star, Manila Bulletin, People’s Journal, Business Mirror, Viva Prime, PBO, WRR 101.9, Star FM, IFM, Love Radio, Yes FM, Energy FM, OPM Online and Information Gateway.
