Carmina Villaruel, balik-ABS-CBN

November 28, 2008

Balik-ABS-CBN si Carmina Villarroel via Star Cinema, movie arm ng Kapamilya network.

Yup, pumayag si Carmina na gawin ang movie, A Mother’s Story, which will have Batangas Governor Vilma Santos playing Carmina’s mom.

The film, to be directed by Olive Lamasan, also stars John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano under Star Cinema.

A Mother’s Story marks Governor Vi’s movie comeback and her first appearance with son Luis, and young actor John Lloyd.

Gov. Vi’s last film, also with Star Cinema, was Dekada ’70, five years ago.

Actually, it’s not the first time that Gov. Vi and Carmina are playing mother and daughter in a movie. When Carmina was still a teenager (she’s now in her 30s) and Gov. Vi was much, much younger, gumanap sila bilang mag-ina sa pelikulang Kapag Langit ang Humatol.

Guess kung sino ang produ ng nabanggit na pelikula?

Si Charo Santos-Concio, now ABS CBN president.

Carmina has appeared in two ABS-CBN sitcoms, Palibhasa Lalaki and Oki Doki Doc.
