Maricel Soriano happy for Edu Manzano, Pinky Webb

MARICEL Soriano has been missing from circulation for quite sometime. Her last movies were “A Love Story” and “Bahay Kubo,” nearly two years ago, so she’s happy that finally, she’s got a new movie that will be released soon, “T2″ (Tenement 2), a horror flick that reunites her with Director Chito Roño, who gave her best actress awards for “Separada” and “Dahas.” At its presscon, she was asked about her reaction if ex-hubby Edu Manzano would decide to tie the knot with current GF Pinky Webb.

“I’ll be happy for them,” she says. “Friends kami ni Doods at nag-usap na nga kami diyan. I asked him, Game ka na ba ulit? He said, Let’s see. Pa-suspense pa, ano? But I know, game na siya ulit. Lahat naman tayo deserve to be happy and if he’d be happy sa muling pag-aasawa, I’ll also be happy for him.”

Has she met Pinky? “No. But I know her dad (Freddie Webb) kasi he guested in one of my TV sitcoms then at masarap siyang katrabaho. Basta sa’kin, walang masama kung pakasal man sila ni Doods.

Wala na lang negative, di ba? Basta kung saan kayo happy, doon kayo. We all deserve to be happy.”

How about her, does she plan to marry again? “As of now, wala. Nakakapagod at nakakadala, e. E, masaya naman ako sa buhay ko ngayon.”

Does she have a special someone? “Secret. Ayokong pag-usapan at baka maudlot. Nagsisimula pa lang, e.”

How’s it being reunited with Chito Roño? “I always enjoy working with him. Pero nakakapagod itong ‘T2′. Grabe, puro takbuhan nung batang co-star ko, si Mika de la Cruz. Ayaw kasi kaming tantanan ng mga humahabol na engkanto.”

Chito’s two horror flicks with Kris Aquino are big hits, “Feng Shui” and “Sukob.” Will she be able to surpass this? “Naku, wala na lang comparisons. Basta ang importante, lahat, makapag-contribute ng something positive sa industriya, lalo ngayong down ang movies. So tulu-ngan nyo na lang kaming kumita ito para lahat tayo, masaya. Basta matitiyak kong hindi madedehado ang mahihilig sa horror dito sa ‘T2′ kasi very fresh ang atake ni Direk. Ako mismo, napapatanga ko sa ganda ng mga eksena. Matatakot sila talaga.”
