Maricar Reyes should be courageous like Katrina Halili

TO show that he’s not hiding abroad, Hayden Kho faced the media to issue a statement, but he refused to be interviewed further. In effect, this is what he said: “I made a mistake because of my poor judgment. Nagsisisi na po ako. Wala akong intensiyong ipagmayabang ang video sa ibang tao.

Ang dami nang taong nasaktan dahil may nagnakaw at nagkalat ng video. Right now, I feel deep remorse. I know it’s too much to ask forgiveness now but sana, later, they will learn to condemn the sin and not the sinner.”

He said he’s now undergoing professional counselling under five psychiatrists and psychologists. He also sought the counsel of a certain Fr. Suarez. He said he’ll stop his practice of medicine as of now.

His lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, admitted that he was in drugs when the videos happened before December when he started getting treatment for drug use. He denied that he has a total collection of 40 other videos with other women.

But with his track record in lying, of course, it’d be hard to believe what he’s saying now. He previously said he has no sex video with Katrina.

The NBI subpoenaed Hayden and Dr. Vicki Belo last Friday but they didn’t show up. They both sent their lawyers. The one accused of posting the videos, Eric Johnston Chua, also didn’t appear. This thing is obviously getting bigger and more scandalous since new sex videos involving Hayden and Maricar Reyes were again uploaded on the net last Thursday. The things they did would really put porno stars to shame. Maricar should also be courageous enough like Katrina to denounce her former boyfriend in public and in the courts.

Just like other showbiz issues (the James Yap-Hope Centeno brouhaha, for instance) we know that this will also pass. But right now, it’s the talk of the town, what with politicians riding on it, until some bigger issue or scandal crops up.

Sen. Bong Revilla, who publicly denounced Hayden in his privilege speech, was accused by some quarters saying he himself is not clean as he has a sex video with Assunta de Rossi. We checked it out and it turned out to be just photos from an old movie they did, “Kilabot at Kembot”, some six years ago.
