Katrina Halili: I want Hayden Kho behind bars

AT the launch of the new season of “Darna,” Katrina Halili says she’s thankful to GMA7 as, right after “Rosalinda,” she’s now playing the role of “Darna.” She’s the daughter of Kobra (Paolo Contis) and Babaeng Impakta (Nadine Samonte), and half sister of Valentina (Iwa Moto). She’s very vocal in saying she’s happy that her prayer for her arch enemy Hayden Kho’s license as a doctor be revoked was granted by PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) due to immorality.

“Buti naman at hindi basta nauwi sa wala ang ipinaglalaban ko,” she says. “Una rito, nasampahan siya ng kaso ng DOJ so I want to thank God at may justice for me. Proof itong nasa tama ako kaya kahit alam kong makakasira sa’kin ang lumaban, pinili ko ito kaysa manahimik na lang at magsawalang-kibo. Ginagawa ko ito di lang para sa’kin kundi pati sa iba pang babaeng binaboy niya. Pero hindi pa ito tapos, talagang hindi ako titigil until I see him behind bars.”

But she was shocked when a columnist wrote that she got pregnant and had an abortion. “Alam naman ng tao, hindi totoo ‘yun. Araw-araw akong nagtatrabaho. From ‘Rosalinda,’ heto ako ngayon sa ‘Darna,’ how will I find time na mabuntis at magpa-abort pa raw. May binisita lang akong friend na may sakit sa ospital, nasulat na ang ganyan. I just pray to the Lord na Siya na’ng bahala sa mga gumagawa ng ganyang imbentong balita.”

She’s been so controversial this year so she’s happy that it’s ending. “Sana, mas maging peaceful at tahimik ang buhay ko sa 2010.”

Serpina is just one of the new enemies of Darna. The others are Rochelle Pangilinan as Babaeng Manananggal, Akihiro Sato as the vampire Vladimir, Jackie Rice as Babaeng Demonyita, and Regine Velasquez as Electra, the Queen of Planet Women. Darna also has a new leading man in Dennis Trillo as Pancho, a principled cop.
