Diether Ocampo cover ng Reader’s Digest

SI Michael V ang first Pilipino celebrity na na-cover sa Readers’ Digest Asia magazine na sinundan ni People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao.

This time, ang pangatlong Pinoy celebrity na cover ay none other than Star Magic Artists’ Diether Ocampo para sa kanilang December issue.

Ang Reader’s Digest ay monthly magazine na napaka-interesting basahin. Ang global circulation ay nasa 17 million, ang largest circulated magazine in the world.

Ito ay dahil sa humanitarian efforts ni Diet, tulad ng pagtatag niya ng K.I.D.S (Kabataan Inyong Dapat Suportahan) Foundation, pag-ikot sa iba’t ibang sulok ng Pilipinas para mag-donate para sa mga batang kapus-palad at mga eskwelahang kulang sa mga kagamitan. Sinusuportahan din ng actor ang PETA o People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Talagang may soft spot si Diet para sa mga bata.

“I haven’t forgotten that I come from a poor family,” nakasaad sa cover story ng magazine tungkol kay Diet.

“This keeps me grounded and grateful for what I have today. Nalaman ko lang about the Reader’s Digest cover from Kuya Ricky Lo (entertainment editor of The Philippine Star),” say naman ni Diet sa isang interview.

“Landing on the cover of Reader’s Digest only made me realize how far I’ve gone when it comes to helping these kids. And it motivates me even more to make K.I.D.S. Foundation a globally recognized organization. If you can initiate positive change in your own country, this can definitely inspire positive change worldwide. Starting small can go a long way,” huling saad ng new Reader’s Digest cover.
