Fans ni Bea Alonzo, imbiyerna kay Pops Fernandez!
February 27, 2009

Ruffa Gutierrez ‘monster’ like mom?
September 10, 2008
RUFFA Gutierrez has showed the public a glimpse of her character in the teleserye, “I Love Betty La Fea” when she made “taray” to Riza Santos.
This happened during the taping of the teleserye wherein the Pinoy Big Brother finalist arrived late. She made her co-talents and crew waiting for hours. The incident made Ruffa angry. And what Daniella Valencia (Ruffa’s character in I Love Betty.) more upset was Riza’s attitude for not being apologetic. To which the former was quoted in saying, “buti na lang hindi ako si Daniella sa totoong buhay.” As Daniella, she makes the life of Betty La Fea (Bea Alonzo) uneasy and shaky in the teleserye.
Meanwhile, there was no confrontation that happened during that much-publicized incident. Accordingly, Ruffa just advised Riza to be courteous and apologetic to the staff and crew. As they say, all’s well that ends well. The issue needs not be blown out of proportion, after all. And that’s the reason why kibitzers dismiss this as just another gimik ” just like Bea Alonzo’s slip in the catwalk?

“I LOVE BETTY LA FEA,” Bettyful ba talaga?
September 10, 2008
THE much-waited teleserye of Kapamilya “I love Betty” finally premiered last Monday.
The pilot episode took the viewers to the life of Betty La Fea from birth to her first job hunt. That was a nice start as viewers don’t need to get through the pain of seeing Betty being bullied when she was a kid. That’s passé already.
So let’s fast forward to the story of the teleserye that originated from Colombia.
Bea Alonzo as Betty is visually charming and endearing as her original counterpart. And she is paired by another equally loveable character Nicolas Mora as portrayed by Vhong Navarro. Good pair as best friends, indeed.

Bea Alonzo: Hindi ko inagaw si Jake Cuenca kay Roxanne Guinoo
September 1, 2008
Kasi nga, John did a movie with Sarah at ayaw naman nilang ibulilyaso ang promo nito.

THE grand presscon for “I Love Betty La Fea” was held at ABS-CBN’s 11th floor, where they built an entire set housing the Ecomoda office of Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez. Upon the invitation of their corporate communication exec Bong Osorio, we took a tour of their offices before the presscon started and it’s really impressively designed, approximating the Mode Magazine in “Ugly Betty” of America Ferrera, Eric Mabius and Vanessa Williams (the counterparts of Bea etc. in the Hollywood version). It reportedly cost P40 million to build that set, plus the rights to the original Colombian version.
It would have been nice if Bea came in her Betty getup so the press people could’ve seen her up close as John Lloyd’s ugly secretary. What’s her first reaction when she saw herself in the mirror made up as Betty La Fea? “I was overwhelmed kaya matagal na the only thing I did is to look at myself in the mirror over and over again. Tapos, sabi ko sa reflection ko, ‘Betty, you are just bettyful!’ This is really a new challenge for me kasi dati, lagi akong nagpapaiyak sa drama. This time, magpapatawa naman ako.”
