Unfolding the real Bea Alonzo

The long wait is over. After conquering television and being recently tagged as the country’s box-office queen, Bea Alonzo hits the music scene with her first major album under one of the country’s top labels, Star Records!

“Bea Alonzo, The Real Me,” her full-length studio album, marks her entry into an avenue that seems initially unfamiliar to her, but she eventually conquered, with flying colors.

“Takut na takot po talaga ako, at the same time excited, dahil this is an endeavor na matagal ko nang pinapangarap, pero hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko. Pero with Star Records, they helped me, guided me and dinala nila ako sa panibagong chapter ng career ko, ang pagkanta.

HUMATOL na ang taumbayan. Kumpirmado na ngang si Bea Alonzo ang aganap na Betty La Fea sa Pinoy version nito.

Ang Betty La Fea (Ugly Betty) ayisang popular na telenobela na nagmula sa Columbia. Nilikha ito ni Mr. Fernando Gaitan at prinodyus ng Columbian Network na Radio Cadena Nacional (RCN).

Umikot ang istorya kay Betty, isang ‘di kaganda-hang babae na nagtatrabaho sa isang fashion design company.

Mahigit sa 12 bersyon ng Betty La Fea ang nagawa sa buong mundo at na-dub sa iba’t ibang lenggwahe.

Looks like he’s been smitten by Anne. “Hanga talaga ako sa kanya, but before anyone thinks of anything else, I’m a married man. And I love my wife Charlene (Gonzalez) very much, matatag ang pagsasama namin, so huwag n’yo nang kulitin at intrigahin ang paghanga ko kay Anne. Na-in love talaga ako sa kanya, which is not surprising kasi sexy naman talaga siya lalo na in her bikinis, pero hanggang doon lang ‘yun sa characters that we play in our movie. Walang halong malisya ‘yun.

Ngayon, kung single siguro ako at walang asawa’t mga anak, that’s another story. But since I had my own family, wala na akong leading lady na niligawan ko. I really want to thank Charlene for being supportive at hindi siya yung basta nagseselos even if I have love or kissing scenes with my younger leading ladies. She’s very secure with herself.”

Will Bea Alonzo Play ‘BETTY LA FEA’?

NOW that Sharon Cuneta has made a public pronouncement that it’s a big no-no for her to do a movie with former husband, Gabby Concepcion, who will now make an ideal leading lady for him? A movie which would certainly be a blockbuster could have been expected from a Sharon-Gabby team-up.

KC, now 23 years old, and a celebrity herself, would make an ideal replacement for Sharon. It would be a novelty watching her on the big screen with her dad.

But alas, KC, like Sharon, also announced during the presscon for her four-episode series, “I am KC,” that if ever she makes a movie with either her parents, she will choose to do it first with her mom. As she said, Sharon brought her up.

CLAMOR FOR KC-RICHARD MOVIE HOPELESS?

AT the press conference for “I Am KC,” some of the words used to describe or introduce her were “showbiz royalty” and “princess.”         The press in attendance agreed that these were the apt words to describe KC, being the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and erstwhile matinee idol Gabby Concepcion.

Being tagged as a princess and showbiz royalty somehow makes her uncomfortable. She respects other young actresses who came before her and KC doesn’t even want to think that she has special privilege that’s why she’s called princess. She watches the shows of other young actresses like Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, and Judy Ann Santos.

She wouldn’t want to think of the “princess” tag. “I just want to do my job well. I want to do my best para naman po hindi ako mapahiya sa mga nakakatrabaho ko na matagal na sa industriyang ito,” says KC.

Interview ni Gabby Concecpcion, tinutukan ni KC

MATAPOS ang napakainit na pagsalubong at one-on-one interview ni Gabby Concepcion sa The Buzz nu’ng Linggo, sinubukan naming kunan ng reaksyon kahapon ng umaga sina Sharon Cuneta at KC Concepcion through a close friend.

Pero ayon sa taong malapit sa dalawa, pareho pang hindi nagpaparamdam ang mag-ina tungkol sa isyu.

Ang alam daw ng source ng Tonight, pinanood at tinutukan ni KC ang interview ng amang si Gabby with Boy Abunda. Dito rin siguro na-realize ng dalaga na kasing-laking artista ng nanay niya ang kanyang ama.

Hindi naman sigurado ng isa pang source kung pinanood ni Mega ang interview.
