Basic Information

Rachelle Ann Go (born August 31, 1986), she rose to prominence after winning the second season of the reality show Star For A Night renamed as Search For A Star, hosted by recording artist Regine Velasquez. She has since gone to have established a very successful recording career and is hailed as The Ultimate Champion.

Early life and career

Rachelle was born in Manila, Philippines and is of Chinese descent. Fondly called Shin or Shin-Shin by her friends, Rachelle’s interest in singing started at a very young age. Her father predicted even before she turned a year old that she was destined to be a singer. As a child, she showed signs of having a flair and passion for music. When she turned six, she underwent vocal training and lessons and, by the time she was nine, she participated in her very first amateur singing competition and won the first prize, belting out Jennifer Holliday’s “And I Am Telling You,” in spite of being the youngest contender.

Jed Madela’s album “Songs Rediscovered” now Double platinum

jed madelaUniversal Records surprised singer Jed Madela when they awarded him the Double Platinum Record for his album Songs Rediscovered at ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show ASAP ‘08. “What a pleasant surprise!” says Jed who is currently promoting his single “Iniibig Kita” from his Only Human album. His single, an original song composed just for him, is currently enjoying heavy rotation in FM radios nationwide as a popular love song.

Ely Buendia not open to meet former Eraserheads bandmates

Six years after separating from the Eraserheads, Ely Buendia is still not open to the idea of meeting with his former bandmates. The singer-songwriter maintains that he is happy and content being the frontman of rock band Pupil, which released its album Wildlife last October 2007.

We ask Ely these questions;

With the breakups of Rivermaya and Orange & Lemons, do you think this is a trend or is inevitable for bands to disband?“I wouldn’t call it a trend. Pero tama ka dun, hindi talaga maiiwasan na ganun. All good things must come to an end. I guess ‘yong time ng Rivermaya with Rico Blanco is over and I’m sure both artists—Rico Blanco as a solo artist and I heard Rivermaya is doing very well with the new vocalist. I wish them all luck and more power.”
