False accusations vs. Marian Rivera
May 2, 2008
MARIAN Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are ecstatic over the consistently high ratings (over 40 plus percent) of “Dyesebel” on its first week of airing. “I was thinking makakuha lang ng 38% gaya ng pilot ng ‘Marimar’, okay na,” says Marian. “But it turned out to be more than I expected dahil 44.9% ang first telecast namin, kahit na nga nagka-brownout daw sa maraming lugar at nagulo ang signal sa cable channels while we’re being shown. And everywhere I go, people tell me tinututukan nila ito talaga gabi-gabi.”
But because of the continued success of her TV shows, intrigues continue to haunt her. It’s said that in the taping of a shampoo commercial with Maja Salvador and Nikki Gil, she got insecure and quickly changed her outfit to come up with something more sexy.
“That’s not true dahil hindi sabay-sabay ang shooting namin for the said commercial.

Jon Avila happy for Mariel Rodriguez and Zanjoe Marudo
April 23, 2008
HOW did Jon Avila feel when Mariel Rodriguez, to whom he became extra close while they were both housemates in “PBB Celebrity Edition 2,” chose Zanjoe Marudo over him?
“I’m happy for them,” he says. “Sincere ‘yan. Ako naman ang nag-give way kasi as of now, wala rin akong time for love because my work is really my priority. Isa pa, Zanjoe is a good friend because we’re together in Coverboys, kaya I don’t want to be his rival with Mariel. Actually, when Mariel made her choice, I felt relieved din kasi, at least, there’s no need for me to hope and hang on pa.”
He’s happy with the good breaks ABS-CBN is giving him, especially in Mars Ravelo’s Komiks Presents “Kapitan Boom” where he plays the title role no less and which starts airing this Saturday.“This is a good project and a blessing for any newcomer like me who’s just starting to make a name for himself. But mind you, it’s not easy to play a superhero.

Jon Avila, crush si Maja Salvador
April 17, 2008

Nikki Is “Not That Kind of Girl”
March 26, 2008
NIKKI Bacolod, a product of Star in a Million search in 2005 and a talent of Viva Artists Agency (VAA), is making a serious bid to establish herself as a more mature performer with the release of her sophomore album under Viva Records, Not That Kind of Girl.
The title is an allusion to Nikki’s new sound and image. She’s no longer the sweet and innocent 16-year-old who sang syrupy ballads. In short, she’s not that kind of girl anymore. So expect a lot of surprises in this album. “Maraming nagbago,” acknowledges Nikki.
The album has a total of 12 tracks—nine English songs, and three which were translated into Pilipino by Chuckie Dreyfus. It leads off with the title track, originally a Spanish song entitled Yo No Soy Esa Mujer. The other cuts include Malapit Na (Never Go Insane); Step It Up; Wild Girl; Nalilito; Ginugulo (You’re My Mystery); Away From It All (Mas Fuerte Que Tu); A Little Nervous; Bola (Coming To An End); Dreaming My Own Dream; Somebody (A Veces); Anything and Everything; and Rock Me Tonight (Dime Que Quieres).

Maja Salvador at manager nagkaayos na
March 9, 2008
