Marian Rivera’s fans spent to make her win FHM’s sexiest title

MARIAN Rivera has been officially announced as the top choice in this year’s search for FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women, the first winner who has never even graced its cover.

In an interview, Marian said she’d agree to pose for them if she’d win, so now, she’ll have to make her promise true. Her manager, Popoy, says Marian will fulfill that promise as soon as her schedule allows it.

One thing sure is that Marian will attend the FHM event at World Trade Center on July 17. GMA-7 is so lucky as their show, “Dyesebel,” has the sexiest man and woman winners. Marian is numero uno with FHM, while Dingdong Dantes, it will be recalled, earlier topped the list of sexiest bachelors of Cosmo Magazine. On July 18, right after the FHM event, both Marian and Dingdong are flying to the U.S. to join the “Eat Bulaga” show at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

Ikinagulat ni Popoy Caritativo, manager ni Marian Rivera, ang tsikang ginastusan niya ang pagkapanalo ng alaga sa 100 Sexiest Women ng FHM.

Kesyo naglabas daw si Popoy ng malaking halaga para makasigurong si Marian ang mananalo sa naturang paligsahan.

Pero anang manager: “Ha, bakit ako maglalabas ng pera? Nagulat pa nga ako sa pagkapanalo ni Marian dahil ’di pa naman siya naging cover girl ng FHM, eh. Saka, hindi naman puwedeng balewalain ang fans na laging nakasuporta.

“Actually, may mayayamang fans si Marian sa ibang bansa na members ng Marian Knights. Sila ang nagpadala ng pera para pondohan ang pagkapanalo ng alaga ko, hindi ako.

Marian Rivera is FHM’s Sexiest Filipina for 2008

SI Marian Rivera ang FHM’s Sexiest Filipina for 2008.

Lumabas na ang final count ng FHM for this years’ 100 sexiest women in the world poll and Marian Rivera topped the list with a final tally of 315,135 votes.

Pumangalawa ang back to back winner of the said poll of 2006 and 2007, si Katrina Halili at 123,239 votes at pangatlo naman ang 2005 winner na si Angel Locsin with 121,388 votes.

Labas na ang official list of the FHM 100 sexiest sa July issue.

Who’s FHM’s sexiest woman? Angel Locsin or Marian Rivera?

The FHM search for the country’s sexiest woman has never been this hot. The voting ended last Sunday but the winner will be announced in June. It’s said that Marian Rivera is the top favorite in the online voting, with Katrina Halili and Angel Locsin following her.

Obviously, this displeased Angel’s fans and her camp issued some negative remarks about Marian. In return, we got this letter from a group of Marian fans called “MarianKnights” about the issue.

“This is in response to the PROs of Angel Locsin who allege that a GMA insider revealed that GMA-7 supported Marian by giving away P300 worth of load to vote for Marian. Who is that insider? The PROs should name names.

The truth about the ‘Marian Rivera Scandal’

WE got a video called “Marian Rivera Scandal” and it shows the star of “Dyesebel” having an argument with a man. The video ends saying “Ganyan kapalengkera ang idol ninyo.” We ask Marian about on the set of “Dyesebel” and she told us it happened while they were taping the now No. 1 TV serial in Subic.

“Bawal sa amin mag-video sa set at nang pababa ako ng bahay where we were taping I saw a man na nagvi-video,” she says. “I told him, ‘Uy, si Kuya, nagvi-video.’

Nakangiti pa ko’t sa tonong pabiro. Sinagot ako ng pabalang: ‘Bakit? Ikaw bang vini-video ko?’ Siempre, nabigla ako, umalma ko. Ang feeling ko kasi, binabastos ako. Sabi ko, taga saan ba siya?

BUMALIK sa Subic ang cast ng Dyesebel last Saturday para muling mag-taping ng number one teleserye ng bansa.

Inaalam pa namin kung muling bumisita sa taping ang lalaking nakabangga ng actress na si Marian Rivera na nameless pa rin hanggang ngayon.

MARIAN Rivera won three honors at the 38th Box-Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Park Foundation: Most Promising Female Star, Phenomenal TV Star (for “Marimar’) and Face of the Night. Most of the people present at the awards night believe she’s very deserving in winning all three awards.

“I’m really so thankful to the Lord sa dami ng blessings ko,” she says. “I’m so happy dahil ‘Dyesebel’ is now also confirmed as the number 1 show nationwide, hindi lang ito sa Manila.”

What can she say that some commercials originally meant for Angel Locsin are now assigned to her?
